Bringing innovative and transformative leadership to jump-start organizational growth has been the foundation of my success at UC San Diego. As a leader of strategic academic initiatives in the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor, my strengths lie in my ability to start up and launch new programs or technologies on time and on budget, drive continuous improvement and process efficiencies, and accelerate the adoption of transformative change - through collaboration, communication, and professional development.
    Highlights of my accomplishments include:
    - Pioneered the Distributed Application Development Initiative, transforming software development, and leading to the adoption of industry standards (Agile), launch of four new applications, and an API infrastructure.
    - Co-founded and launched a Business Excellence Community of Practice, bringing together a diverse network of practitioners to create a culture of continuous improvement; recognized and adopted by other universities. The culture supported creation of Process Palooza, a competition to develop solutions to campus-wide problems.
    - Co-founded and launched a Lean Bench for newly certified Six Sigma practitioners to drive improvements and cost savings across the enterprise systems renewal initiative.
    - Invited to speak at national level on business excellence, change management, and process improvement, presenting at annual conferences and workshops at various universities.
    - Turned around the operational and financial performance of International House - to create a profitable operating structure, including a strategic plan, staff restructure, and building renovation.
    - Co-authored a university international strategy for the Chancellor's Office in 2012 and executed three prongs of the 2002 strategy: establishing International Studies academic department, the Office for International Affairs, and a think tank.
